Fixing it up!
There are many things you can do to your home or cabin to perk up it’s curb appeal or just to add a little zest.
1. Painting or staining it the most obvious ... but maybe it’s just a
shutter color and trim you want to change.

2. Adding a little rock work to certain portions of your home .... like the block foundation, or your porch wall ... also the addition of shakes in protected areas can add great detail to a cabin.

3. Many cabins in this area were plopped in the woods and have no formal sidewalks and have gravel drives. While I am not in favor of paved driveways - a nice flagstone walkway can really focus the eye toward a door or frame in the wild flower patch.

4. Pesky propane tanks - I have built retaining walls around, build fences in front off, disguised with special planters and all but built small houses to help folks rid their cabin of the ugly propane tank. I laugh at the extent I’ve gone to - to cover up this necessary evil ... but it does look better when you can’t see it.
